The 2017 Solheim Cup is here again on it’s biennial turn and the showdown will be take place on American soil between the top professional LPGA golfers from the United States and Europe. The Solheim Cup face-off will be held at the Golf and Country Club in West Des Moines Iowa August 18-20.
The first inaugural cup was held 27 years ago in 1990 and the current holders of the winning title is held by the Americans after defeating the Europeans at the Golf club St. Leon-Rot in Baden Wurttemburg, German in 2015.
The contenders for the Solheim Cup are considered the most formidable and refined female Golfer’s who are chosen by a rigorous point system based on each of their top twenty finishes on the LPGA Tour.
This 2017 Solheim Cup will be captained on the American side by the notorious Juli Inkster, who will guide and support the baddest women in Golf. Cristie Kerr, Danielle Kang, Michelle Wie, Brittany Lang, Brittany Lincicome, Lizette Salas, Angel Yin, Austin Ernst, and Paula Creamer.
The Players on the European side will be valiantly led by their Captian Annika Sorenstam, who will be coaching Georgia Hall, Forentyna Parker, Mel Reid, Jodi Ewart Shadoff, Carlota Ciganda, Suzann Pettersen, Charley Hull Karine Icher, Anna Nordqvist, Caroline Masson, Emily Kristine Pedersen, and Madelen Sagstrom around the Golf course in trying to defeat the reigning leaders who hold the Solheim Cup.
